All inPlay, with the extremely helpful financial support of a member of the community, has completed a prototype of the All inPlay Crazy Eights Tournament. This software will allow All inPlay to offer 24-hour crazy eights tournaments, both on our own and with a wider variety of sponsors than possible before.

This tournament is the second beta test, a test of the software to see where it may yet have bugs. To test it, folks need simply to PLAY in the tournament and report any problems they run into to us via email. Now, because it is our loyal paying members that help keep All inPlay going, this beta testing tournament is strictly member's only - meaning free trial members will NOT be allowed in.

Beta Testing Info:
This tournament software is "in Beta." That means this software is NOT finished yet, it still probably has some bugs, but the only way to find them at this point is to get a bunch of folks playing and having fun. But hey, what kind of testing could be better than playing in a tourney? <smile>. That being said, if you're uncomfortable playing on unfinished software, we recommend you do not play in the tournament.

Giving Feedback:
Another important aspect of a beta test is for people to report bugs AND to feel free to make suggestions on how we can improve the tournament software. We'll have a feedback form available via a link on the tournament page during the event. Your feedback is very important, thank you in advance!

Rules
* There will be a variety of experimental tables being tested at this event! These will include: 3-Card, 8-Card, and BigShoe!
* Each player joining the server will start with a fresh score of 0 points towards their goal and 0 points given up.
* The goal on this server will be much lower than the standard server's, allowing folks to reach the goal more quickly and probably several times during the course of the tourney. The goal will be 888 points.
* The tourney server will have a link to special tournament scoreboards. Just as with the poker tourneys, this page will only display scores related to the tournament, and this page is the official place to go to see how you are doing in the event!

Prizes:
As this is an experimental tournament, and as it is likely bugs will be found, the only fair prizes to hand out are bragging rights. Of course, these are usually the most enjoyable anyway <smile>.

Legal Stuff:
There is no fee to participate in the tournament and it is open to all paying members of All inPlay. This tournament is void where prohibited. Please note that those members with gift memberships, or memberships sponsored by All inPlay are considered paying members.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tournaments

Q) How do I sign up for the Tournament?

A) We don't like making people have to fill out unnecessary forms, so all paying members are automatically signed up so they can play if they want to. Please note, however, that you do need to have a valid email address in order to play in the tournament. If you don't have a valid email address and you win, we have no way to reach you! If you have not validated your email, then you will be asked to when you try to join the tournament. If you would like to validate your email address now, you can do so on the my account page.

Q) The tournament lasts a while; do I need to play for the whole time?

A) Not at all! We have the tournaments run for such a long time so that people in all time zones have a fair chance at a convenient time for them to play, but you can play as much (or as little) as you like. When you leave a tournament table, your tournament chips/points are placed in a special virtual vault and kept safe until you need them again. This allows you to hop from table to table or take a several-hour break (naps are highly recommended! <smile>) and still have your winnings waiting for you when you come back.
