The 2003 Profile Contest Winners!
About the Contest:
For those of you who are unfamiliar, if you click on the nickname of a player
on either of the "Play" pages, you will be presented with a "profile",
a text description that player has created about themselves. These profiles
are a great way for players to get to know one another. At the suggestion of
several community members who would love to see more players write up profiles
for themselves, we decided to hold a special All inPlay Profile
Contest! There were several categories that people entered their profiles in,
the categories were:
1. #Funny (which is to say a profile of YOU that is funny as opposed to just
a bunch of jokes)
2. #Helpful (offers a tip)
3. #Community Building (tells folks about you and encourages them to talk with
you and or make friends on the site)
4. #Singles (AKA the best "personal ad" <smile>).
If you want, you can Edit your profile

- I'm Jill, have 4 kids. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you
about them. I have three boys and one girl. The boys are getting to
the age where they like to smell good; so I decided to purchase them
some cologne to make them feel good. Anyway, one night while playing
poker the boys decided to test the product. Suddenly this God awful
smell hit me; my eyes started watering, I started coughing and choking
and instantly had a headache. I informed my fellow poker players of
this; they were all so helpful; offering gas masks, aspirin, rubber
mallets to beat the children, etc. It was all so funny. My daughter
has her moments too; one day while cleaning the house I informed her
that I had a headache; her response was so kind; she said, "fascinating!"
What love, comfort and support! Such loving children!

- It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as Bill in California.
The first thing I do is make sure the player locates and understands
the usefulness of the tilda key. The tilda key is the key that will
tell you what kind of hand ranking you have. It is my feeling a player
should learn excellent poker skills before they try bluffing. One
of the biggest mistakes I see players make is maxing a bet right off
the bat. This discourages players to make a bet. Instead of maxing
lure your opponents in to a smaller bet which will result in more
chips for you. When the bet comes back to you then you may decide
to make a larger bet or even max at that time. I would love to discuss
strategy and build our poker skills together. MSN kb6hrb@yahoo.com
