Table Descriptions

Different people like to play poker slightly differently. Some people like high-stakes, fast-paced hands, while others enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. All inPlay has therefore created a variety of tables so that people can find others who like to play as they do. The tables are designed using these variables:

  • ANTE -- The starting ante for the table is the number of chips each player contributes at the start of a hand.
  • SPEED -- There are three speeds for the games:
    • Social -- 40 seconds per turn, 20 seconds between hands
    • Fast -- 25 seconds per turn, 10 seconds between hands
    • Wow -- 12 seconds per turn, 8 seconds between hands
  • PRACTICE -- In tables with a practice setting, you do not lose or add chips to your chip total.
  • BETTING STYLE -- There are three styles of betting: standard, half-pot limit, and pot limit. In the standard style, the first and second rounds of betting each have set maximum raises. In pot limit betting the amount you can raise is equal to the size of the pot. In half-pot limit, the maximum amount you can raise is equal to half the size of the pot.

The ante and speed are listed in the title of each table on the play page. The betting styles are listed below.

  • Meet & Greet -- These practice tables allow you to get a feel for betting without the risks involved. All players start with 5,000 practice chips, the ante is 10, you can raise 40 in the first round and 80 in the second round. Your chip total will not be affected by your actions at these tables. This is also the bets place to participate in our Meet & Greet events.
  • Crazy Fun -- This is a practice table where you start with 100,000 practice chips, an ante of 250 chips, and pot limit betting. It gets real crazy real fast <smile>. Your chip total will not be affected by your actions at these tables.
  • Low Stakes -- Here the ante is 5, max raises are 15 for the first round and 30 for the second round.
  • Intermediate -- Ante of 10, max raises of 40 for the first round and 80 for the second round. Players with fewer than 1,000 chips are advised to avoid these tables.
  • Advanced -- Ante of 25, betting rules here are half-pot limit. Players with fewer than 2,500 chips are advised to avoid these tables.
  • High Stakes -- Ante of 50 chips, betting rules here are pot limit. Players with fewer than 5,000 chips are advised to avoid these tables.
  • Experts Only -- Ante of 100 chips, betting rules here are pot limit. Players with fewer than 10,000 chips are advised to avoid these tables.
  • Shark Tank -- Ante of 250 chips, max raises of 2,500 for the first round and 5,000 for the second round. It is strongly recommended that players with fewer than 10,000 chips do not play here.
